When the glucose in whole blood sample reacts with the reagent on the electrodes, a current can be detected by the Blood Glucose Meter (BGM-101/BGM-102/BGM-102N) or Multifunction Analysis Meter (Glucose & Uric Acid)(GUM-101) when applying a fixed potential across the electrodes. Strömmen omvandlas sedan till en avläsning av glukoskoncentration.
